Question: Last fall we put in gas wall heaters. Ever since my African violet plants have been affected. The foliage looks all right and there are plenty of buds but they don’t open or make very tiny flowers. Could it be the gas and, if so, what can I do about it? TW, Colo.
Answer: It would appear to be conclusive that the dry heat is responsible. The only thing I can think of to help the conditions is to keep pans of water standing around and to change the air by ventilation as much as possible.
